Hubba
A contemporary, animation-rich custom WordPress website for Hubba, a market-leading waste management company.
A bespoke WordPress website to support a bold new brand refresh
Turn a highly creative design into a robust, animated WordPress build
Working with A-Side Studio, a design agency based in Cornwall, we were tasked with building out a custom WordPress website that could handle a rich mix of animations, video and bespoke interactions. The brief was clear:
- Deliver a pixel-perfect implementation of the supplied designs.
- Bring the brand to life with animation, Lottie files and motion-led sections.
- Keep the experience smooth, responsive and easy to manage in WordPress.
We needed to strike a balance between a playful, animation-rich front end and a solid, maintainable backend that Hubba and A-Side could rely on long term.
An animation-rich WordPress site that makes waste management feel anything but dull
We custom coded a bespoke WordPress theme that closely matches A-Side’s Figma designs, paying attention to every detail so the live site feels as considered as the original concept. This project also pushed the animation side of our work: we implemented a range of carefully tuned Lottie animations and bespoke interactions, using references supplied by A-Side to create a smooth, yet bells and whistles experience.
Throughout the site, embedded video backgrounds add movement and energy, helping to explain what Hubba does in a more engaging way. Animated text sections, iconography and hover states guide users through key services, initiatives and resources, turning what could be a dry subject into an enjoyable, memorable journey.
Behind the scenes, the site is still a clean, modular WordPress build. Hubba’s marketing team can update content, resources and articles in-house, while A-Side can be confident the development, hosting and support reflect well on their own agency. The finished website is a brand-oriented, richly animated platform that we’d happily argue is one of the coolest waste management company websites out there.
